Compatible Wire Materials:
From soft metals like copper and aluminum to harder ones like high-carbon and stainless steel. We recommend the optimal die material (PCD or tungsten carbide) based on your wire type to ensure performance and longevity. Whether drawing rectangular magnet wire or shaping spring steel, our dies are engineered to match your application needs.
Surface Finish:
The die bore is ultra-polished to produce a smooth wire surface finish. Drawn shaped wires exit with a clean, uniform surface free of scoring or scratches, often achieving a surface roughness on the order of only a few micro-inches. This is critical for applications like enameled magnet wire, where a smooth surface promotes even insulation coating. Our use of high-grade die materials (especially diamond) further ensures an excellent wire finish with minimal friction.
